Health Related Absence Nurse
Zoe Henderson - Health Realated Absence Nurse
The aim of the HRA nurse is to provide support to children and their families with illness and health complaints that could prevent them from going to school. I hope that by providing public health advice and working in close partnership with families and the school, the HRA service can reduce the length and frequency of these illnesses and school absences.
I will be holding a weekly drop in session for parents in order to offer advice on things like health concerns including; sleeping, toileting and diet.
Zoe will be available on a weekly basis (Wednesday Mornings from 9am) here at The Flying Bull Academy to give information and advice on health issues which may be preventing your child from attending school. If you would like to attend a drop in session, please call the school office on 02392 694313.
If more in depth health concerns are identified, you and your child will be offered the opportunity to discuss these health needs further during a targeted contact. Working together an ongoing plan will be developed to help improve your child’s health and wellbeing. Ongoing support will be available and progress assessed to determine if further support is needed.
There is a proven link between attendance and achievement and we look forward to working in partnership with families and the academy in order to help your child achieve their full potential.
There is more information on our service at the bottom of this page.
