We held our 'I Really Want to Read' event with the author Simon Philip last Friday. Some Reception parents joined their children and listened to Simon reading two of his stories. Parents were able to buy copies of his books and he signed them.

Later, Year 1 and 2 pupils were visited in the classroom by Simon to share some stories. He then spoke to our children about what the life of an author was like and how to overcome challenges such as dealing with his writing being rejected when publishers kept on saying 'NO!'

It was a brilliant morning! The children listened intently and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Thanks to the School Library Service for organising it.
