The Pompey Monsters scheme encourages children to travel actively to school by regularly walking, scooting and cycling. This has a positive effect on children's wellbeing and health and helps us to improve the city's air quality by reducing reliance on car travel.

During the summer holidays Portsmouth City Council are running a great scavenger hunt, Stomp for Stamps, for children to take part in, encouraged by six of the Pompey Monsters. We hope that the children will be as enthusiastic about this event as they are about the walk to school challenge. Children who successfully find all the stamps in three of the map areas can win a limited-edition cuddly Stomper.

To take part, children simply have to collect a stamp book from a Portsmouth Library or the reception of the Civic Offices.
