Fruit Tuck Shop News!

Year 4 Fruit Tuck Shop visit Tesco

The committee and volunteers of the Year 4 fruit tuck shop recently visited Tesco Fratton:

"We wanted to get ideas of how to run a business.  We looked at how to display goods in an attractive way.  Caroline from Tesco very kindly showed us around the store and how to speak to customers while we scanned goods at the till.

She also showed us behind the scenes.  We even got locked in an ice cream freezer for two minutes!  We gathered lots of useful information to help with the future development of the fruit tuck shop.  After a very interesting afternoon we returned to school with an information pack and a piece of fruit each."

Mrs Searley, who has been overseeing the tuck shop says "it has become very popular every playtime.  Best sellers are sultanas and carrot sticks."

Both her and the pupils would like to thank parents and carers for their support in helping to make Flying Bull a healthier school!

Well done team!
