On Tuesday and Wednesday this week, Year 4 took a trip to West Witterings beach to experience the life of an explorer!

Groups took turns learning how to make fire with Mr Rogers and how to put up a tent with Mr West, as well as racing each other to carry a pulk (sled) across the beach.

After having a go at all the activities, the children enjoyed hot dogs cooked on a portable stove.  4T then embarked on a wonderful walk along the beach in the sunshine.

Sadly for 4B, the weather was against us, cutting our trip short!  The children still managed to achieve some of the tasks set for them, however.
