RESPECT Week - 14-18th November

RESPECT week at FBA - #changethelabels

On Monday morning we launched RESPECT week 2016. We heard two stories about children who carried the labels 'VICTIM' and 'BULLY', and we thought about what we could do to make a difference to others and change those negative labels. Mrs Darbyshire set us the challenge of 'changing the labels', by speaking positive words over each other and seeing beyond the negative labels that people may have found themselves carrying.

We are going to start by looking for opportunities to recognise and demonstrate our seven school values towards each other: humour, tolerance, caring, respect, honesty, achievement and appreciation. Each class has taken a 'values wall' back to their classroom and we aim to fill the wall with names of children who demonstrate particular values.
