LIFE Session in Y6 with Pompey in the Community

Today, in Year 6, we had the pleasure of welcoming Duke Harrison-Hunter to our classrooms to talk to the children about his life, turning from drugs and alcohol to a positive career in football. He has just been recognized for his work with Portsmouth in the Community, winning an award at the Football Blacklist Awards alongside Marcus Rashford.

He spoke to the children about the importance of education, having aspirations, focusing on being a positive force in the world rather than living in and being negative.

The children listened beautifully and asked some really thoughtful questions.

It was fantastic to have him speak to the children as part of the LIFE curriculum and to continue our work with Pompey in the Community.
