The teachers in Year 6 are really challenging the children's thinking.

You would have seen photos of the children creating their own river in the playground last week (further photos below). In Maths, some of the children were challenged to imagine that they only had eight fingers like the characters from The Simpsons.

In this case the characters would count 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10! I had a great time grappling with the multilink, the numberlines and the excellent discussions amongst the members of the group.
