Over the past 10 weeks, thirteen year 5 and 6 girls have been training to take part in this year’s Cheer Off. They have learnt jumps, dance, balances and lifts which were put together to produce a cheerleading routine.

Although nervous, they performed well against 11 other primary schools. All schools were awarded a trophy and we won ours for ‘Best Facial Expressions’ (helped by a grinning Abbie!). We missed out on overall winner but Olivia (our lead coach) and I were very pleased with their performance.

Each school’s coach had to choose one member of the squad who had listened and taken part really well over the 10 weeks and Olivia chose Katie. Well done Katie, it was thoroughly deserved.

Well done to all the girls for representing the school so well.
