As part of their Fairtrade topic, Year 5 visited Tuppenny Barn to take part in their Fork to Fork experience.

The children learned about the food that we eat from the farm fork that digs up the vegetables to the fork on our plates to eat the finished product.

As you will see from the photos, the children prepared a savoury dish where they dug up their vegetables and picked their garlic before preparing the dish.

They then picked their own apples and pressed them before drinking the apple juice. "It was absolutely delicious" Mr Philpott remarked!
