World Book Day 2024
World Book Day is nearly here and, as one of our favorite days of the year, we want to remind you of all the incredible events we have as part of our day.
- Children are encouraged to bring their favorite character to school whether that be in coming in costume, creating a piece of art, a physical version of the character, or bringing in the book.
- Reception will be holding a breakfast and book event first thing in the morning - more information to follow.
- Year 1 will be spending some time in our school library.
- Year 2 are heading off to North End Library.
- Years 3, 4, and 5 will be championing their favorite genres, encouraging others to read their way.
- Year 6 will be spreading the reading joy even further afield by sharing our love of books with the Portsmouth community.
- Parents are welcome to join us for our now annual, Booknik Event, starting at 11:15 until 11:45.
- Guest readers will be appearing in classrooms for the end-of-day story, whilst Nursery will be having guest readers throughout the day for Book O Clock.
- Finally, at 6 pm, we welcome anyone to come for a bedtime story, in their pjs, with any cuddly friend they wish. Hot chocolate or warm milk will be provided. To book on, please use the SCOPAY app.
