Open Sessions for Year 2 and 5

A celebration of so much hard work

It has been a joy to be involved in celebrating the work of children in Year 2 and Year 5 today and last week.

As you will see from the photos, there was a fabulous response from families and carers of the children in Year 2. The children spent time sharing the work in their books they have done this year and the smiles and conversations around the hall were a joy to see. Equally, we are very grateful for all of the kind donations from people who attended to ensure the school trip to the Isle of Wight is a very special one this week.

In Year 5, children also shared the range of the work they have done this year. In one room, children demonstrated reading, writing and maths skills, showing how they edit and improve, how they learn times tables and how they use questioning to improve understanding in reading.

Mr Walsh, who has been teaching the children Ukuleles this year, also led the children in a performance for the children. Thank you to everyone who attended to support their children.
